Anthracite Miners Memorial

The largest anthracite miners memorial in the world. It depicts mines and their families on three bronze plaques. Surround walkways commemorate local mining families.

Shenandoah Trust Co./ Stief's Drug Store

Known locally as the Shenandoah Skyscraper and used as a spotting tower in World War II, this beautiful five-story Italinate building was built in 1913 for the Shenandoah Trust Co. It was most remembered as the Stief's Drug Store which operated from 1938 to the 1970s.

Lehigh Valley Railroad Station

The Lehigh Valley Railroad station, built around 1870, served as the main passenger terminal in Shenandoah for almost 90 years before it was demolished. Shenandoah was also served by the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia & Reading railroads - the only town in Pennsylvania to have three railroad depots.
